Product Description
SMA-Female Jack Straight Coaxial Cable Crimp Connector
SMA (SubMiniature version A) connectors are semi-precision coaxial RF connectors at were developed as a minimal connector interface for coaxial cable with a screw-type coupling mechanism. The connector has a 50 Ω impedance. SMA was originally designed for use from DC to 12 GHz, but has been extended over time and variants are available to 18 GHz and higher. The most common SMA connector are mostly used in microwave systems, hand-held radio and mobile telephone antennas and, more recently, with Wi-Fi antenna systems and USB software-defined radio dongles; however, these are typically RP-SMA type, reverse polarity and often referred to as reverse pin because the gender of the center pin or contact is reversed. It is also commonly used in radio astronomy, particularly at higher frequencies (5 GHz+).
Fits RG-8X (Mini-8), RG-223, RG-59, RG-62, LMR-240, Belden 8214, Belden 8218, and Belden 8281 coaxial cables.
