Called Anderson power poles (plugs) in the ham radio business. Very easy to use once you get to know them, indispensable for radio operators. These connectors are great value, and work perfectly.

I have standardized all my DC power connections to PowerPoles. The 30 Amp contacts work well for 12-14 AWG wire. You can use the 30A contacts with smaller (16-20 AWG) wire by folding the wire over itself once or twice to increase the diameter. The ratcheting crimp tool make a nice, clean crimp and does not distort the contacts, making insertion into the hoods easy. Be sure to insert the contacts until you hear a click to ensure they are fully seated.
