Product Description
SO-239 to 3/8"-24 Threaded Stud Antenna Mount Adapter
The American Radio Supply - ARS-SM1 is a heavy-duty antenna mounting adapter designed to connect a standard PL-259 (UHF Male) coaxial cable assembly to an antenna or mounting component with a 3/8"-24 threaded base. This adapter provides a convenient mechanical and RF connection for mobile, CB, amateur radio, and custom antenna installations.
The ARS-SM1 features a UHF-Female (SO-239) connector on one end and a 3/8"-24 threaded stud on the opposite end. The 3/8"-24 stud is a solid brass-alloy threaded section with no internal connector features. A white nylon reducing washer is incorporated into the assembly to accommodate mounting through a standard vehicle or equipment mounting hole.

An Essential Part
I had a terrible time finding someone carrying these adapters. I needed them to make a solid element 2m/70cm j-pole. I keep getting asked to make those antennas because they are tough and reliable. These adapters are an essential part. Thanks American Radio Supply.

Works Great!
This connector is perfect for building an aluminum rod J Pole antenna. Without this you will not have a durable antenna that you can make solid connection to the feed coax, and you will be able to seal this better than with simply soldering the conductors together. Mine works great, and I use it with a cargo rack mount to use as a field expedient mobile com unit with a 5 watt HT - it is amazing how well this works. Great for setting up as a field post for events, and it stows easily for transport or storage.
