LUGHUB™ Antenna Counterpoise Hub – LUGHUB-1/4
The American Radio Supply LUGHUB™ Antenna Counterpoise Hub is a heavy-duty four-point radial and counterpoise hub designed to provide a convenient common connection point for multiple antenna radial wires or RF ground elements. The LUGHUB™ is especially useful for vertical, portable, elevated, field, and temporary antenna systems where a dedicated earth ground may not be practical or desirable.
The LUGHUB™ features a UHF (SO-239) style threaded body measuring 1.0 inches in length and provides four integrated counterpoise connection points. Each point accepts a 5/8-inch ring terminal, allowing multiple radial wires to be securely connected to the antenna system.
A counterpoise provides an artificial or elevated RF return path for an antenna system. Rather than relying entirely on the earth as the return path, radial wires connected to the LUGHUB™ extend outward from the antenna feed point and serve as RF counterpoise elements.
The LUGHUB™ keeps these radial connections organized at a common hub, helping establish a more predictable RF current path. A properly configured radial or counterpoise system can help improve antenna efficiency, stabilize antenna matching, and reduce unwanted RF currents traveling along the outside of the coaxial feed line.

Expandable Radial System
The four supplied LUGHUB™ connection points provide a starting point for building a counterpoise system, while additional 5/8-inch ring-terminal lugs can be added when more radial elements are desired. This allows the counterpoise configuration to be customized for the particular antenna, operating frequency, installation environment, and available space.
Replacement/additional ring lugs: ARS-0625 – 5/8-inch heavy-duty grounding lug ring terminal for SO-239 and Type-N connectors.
