NMO to PL-259 UHF-Male Antenna Coaxial Cable Assembly
The NMO-3817-UHF is a complete mobile antenna coaxial cable assembly designed to connect an external 3/8" NMO-mounted antenna to a two-way radio, amateur (ham) radio, or two-way radios equipped with a standard SO-239 female antenna jack.
This assembly features 17 feet of flexible RG-58/U 50-ohm coaxial cable, a 3/8" permanent NMO vehicle mount, and a UHF-Male (PL-259) radio connector. The cable also incorporates an FME Female to PL-259 Male configuration, making it easier to route the cable through a vehicle firewall or other tight openings before completing the radio connection.

Vehicle Antenna Installation
The 3/8" NMO mount is designed for permanent installation through a properly sized hole in a vehicle roof, trunk lid, or other suitable mounting surface. Once installed, compatible NMO antennas can be quickly attached to the mount.
The 17-foot cable length provides ample reach for routing from the antenna location through the vehicle headliner, down the interior, and toward the radio installation location.
Convenient Firewall Installation
A major advantage of this cable assembly is its FME female connection, which can make passing the cable through a vehicle firewall substantially easier than routing a cable with a permanently installed PL-259 connector.
After routing the smaller FME connector and cable through the firewall, the PL-259 male connection provides the standard UHF connection required by radios with an SO-239 antenna jack.
