PL-259 / UG-174 - UHF Male Cable Plug Coaxial Connector
The PL-259 / UG-174 coaxial connector assembly provides a practical way to terminate small-diameter coaxial cable such as RG-174, RG-316, RG-178, RG-188, LMR-100A, and Belden 8216 with a standard UHF male (PL-259) connector. The included UG-174 reducer sleeve adapts the larger PL-259 body for use with approximately 0.100-inch (2.5 mm) OD miniature coaxial cable.
Constructed with a silver-plated machined brass body, PTFE (Teflon) dielectric, and silver-plated center pin, this connector is well suited for RF jumper cables, amateur radio equipment, test equipment, and other applications requiring a compact connection to small coax.

Applications

Note: UHF/PL-259 connectors are not true constant-impedance 50-ohm connectors. While suitable for many HF, VHF, and lower-UHF applications, impedance matching and VSWR performance can become increasingly dependent on connector geometry and installation at higher frequencies.
