I picked up an old Bendix dummy load probably over 20 years ago when I worked in an MSS. Had an oddball connector on it. Every chance I got I tried to have someone identify it. The best I ever got was yeah I've saw them on other things but I don't remember what they are. So is winter coming on in northern Minnesota? I decided you know what I'm going. Either modify that dummy load or find an adapter so I can finally use it. Well, after probably three hours of searching the internet, I managed to stumble across some information that identified it as a type-c connector... what's that information? It was easy enough to get online and do a search for C Male to type N female adapter. I found that American Radio Supply had them. Placed an order for one. Transit time was a little slow. And the price was shipping was rather stiff. But I really didn't have a problem with that as I spent better than 20 years trying to find a source for them. When I received it. In the mail (I credited the USPS for the long Transit time,). Having worked inland mobile radio until my retirement I would have to say that the quality of the product was as good if not better then I had run across in my work. In the future specialized connectors. I will definitely be looking to American Radio Supply. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you're looking for an odd connector, you're going to have to probably identify what it is yourself. Connectors such as this have been out of common use since long before. Anyone you talk to at a supplier is going to have any idea what you are talking about. So bear in mind don't expect a lot of help if you contact someone's customer service. You may as well be asking them to decode hieroglyphics. Expect to do your own research. That's not the fault of ARS it's a simple consequence of me being all too close to 80 years old. After all I had a buddy of mine that took the identical model dummy load to a ham fest and he got questioned more than once as to " what is that thing".
