EXT-3824-18 — 18" Stainless Steel Antenna Mast Extension
The EXT-3824-18 is an 18-inch stainless steel antenna mast extension. Positioning the loading coil higher on the antenna, rather than near the feedpoint or base, can improve radiation efficiency by increasing radiation resistance, reducing the relative impact of coil and ground-system losses, and improving current distribution along the radiating element.
Designed to raise the height of bottom-loaded antennas, it is ideal for installations where the loading coil needs to be positioned higher for improved clearance or mounting flexibility. Adding height can help improve antenna clearance and positioning on trucks, cars, RVs, campers, and other vehicles.

High Performance
Used this to raise my GMRS antenna off the stakepocket NMO mount in the back of my truck. Slapped a ground plane mount kit on top and attached my NMO antenna. More fars in all directions! Should I put another on top? I just might. This mast came in clutch.
