Our high-quality G510 weather cap helps protect your UHF mount from the elements. Screws onto existing UHF (SO-239) base and keeps moisture, dirt and grime away. Idea for when you temporarily remove your antenna or when going through a car wash. You will often find these caps on 'go kits' / 'go-boxes' for field deployment of valuable radio equipment.

Nice Finishing Touch
I only operate on the Amateur Bands via JT-65, JT-9, PSK31 and some CW so I seldom use a microphone and as I don't even have the microphones attached to several VHF/UHF & HF radios on my bench, these protective caps were a natural to cover up the mic interfaces. In fact, they make the bench look rather nice. l Glad I bought them.

Surprisingly Useful!
These caps are surprisigly useful for amateur radio equipment. They are the same size as the 239 connector on the back, or the microphone plug on the front of most rigs. If you are a CW only operator, you can use one to cover the microphone plug and store your microphone away. If your HF rig has multiple SO-239 connectors on the back and you are only using one, you can cover the other connectors with these to keep them clean. If you are using a rig in the field, you can use these to cover the plugs to prevent dirt or damage during transportation or field use. If you do DXpeditions, you can use these to help prevent corrosion to unused plugs. I bought a large bag to use, and will share spares with friends and fellow club members.

Perfect Cover
I needed a cover so that I can protect the threads while I run my truck through the Car Wash. These are very well made. Actually, I wish I bought more.....plan on doing that on the next order.

These caps are machined out of solid brass and sealed with a rubber gasket. The plating is good and the threads are clean. A well made part.

Capped to go
This attachment is quite useful in keep your cover nearby. I think it is great and it protects my antenna analyzer's so-239 connector from damage and trash. I do wish it had a chain connector as well.

They fit!
I removed them from the package and placed them on the connectors. When I turned them it was with tremendous relief that such a hard to find item was correctly machined to the right specification. They... went... on! Hooray! Let there be dancing in the streets!
