VU-1509 (DB-2) VHF/UHF Dual-Band Mobile Communication Antenna
The VU-1509 (DB-2) is a compact dual-band mobile communication antenna designed for reliable operation across the 144–148 MHz VHF and 435–450 MHz UHF amateur radio bands. Its NMO mounting configuration makes it well suited for vehicle installations where a secure, professional antenna connection is required.
With unity gain on VHF and 2.5 dBd gain on UHF, the VU-1509 provides dependable dual-band performance while maintaining a compact 460 mm (approximately 18.1") overall length. The antenna features a 50-ohm impedance, less than 1.5:1 VSWR, and is rated for up to 200 watts of power.

Sturdy Antenna
I thought that I had lost my original 2m/440 antenna so I wanted to order a different one. After checking the available information and comparisons I elected to order this one. It is nice and sturdy and after I get a roof mount Nmo connector, I'm looking forward to using it. Looks like it will do a great job.

Top Notch
The OPEK VU-1509 Dual-Band Mobile Antenna is an economy antenna 144 / 440 MHz. It may be economical, but performance it top notch. I recently moved from my old QTH, which was within easy accessibility of our club repeater, to my new QTH, which is 50 miles further away. Fortunately, we do have a link which is accessible, but for me it poses some problems especially on receive. With the OPEK, my reception was noticeably better, and it seems I can access the link more easily even with an ht in the car. The OPEK VU-1509 gets my vote for an affordable well performing mobile antenna.
