VU-1512 (DB-1) VHF/UHF Dual-Band Mobile Communication Antenna
The VU-1512 (DB-1) is a compact dual-band mobile communication antenna designed for reliable operation across the 144–148 MHz VHF and 435–450 MHz UHF amateur radio bands. Its 3/8"x24 male threaded mounting configuration makes it well suited for vehicle installations where a secure, professional antenna connection is required.
With unity gain on VHF and 2.5 dBd gain on UHF, the VU-1509 provides dependable dual-band performance while maintaining a compact 460 mm (approximately 18.1") overall length. The antenna features a 50-ohm impedance, less than 1.5:1 VSWR, and is rated for up to 200 watts of power.

Works Better
Works better from mag mount on roof than HT antenna inside car.

Low Profile Antenna With Great TX/RX
At just 17.25", this low profile antenna works great on my Jeep Renegade using a magnet mount. I chose this particular antenna because it was suggested to me by the great staff at American Radio Supply based on my requirements (low profile, little to no wind loading while driving down the interstate at 70+ MPH, dual band capable, and most importantly, able to handle high power from my radio. Although there is no gain for either band, I've had no trouble rag chewing up and down the interstate on NON-LOCAL repeaters.
