Our high-quality G510 weather cap helps protect your UHF mount from the elements. Screws onto existing UHF (SO-239) base and keeps moisture, dirt and grime away. Idea for when you temporarily remove your antenna or when going through a car wash. You will often find these caps on 'go kits' / 'go-boxes' for field deployment of valuable radio equipment.

These caps are great. I didn’t know that the 8-pin mic connector was the same diameter and pitch as an SO-239 connector - these caps fit both. Gonna buy more. [ STAFF NOTE ] Thanks for the feedback... and yes, the UHF, Type N, and MIC Connectors have the same 5/8-24T thread.

I purchased two of these caps a few weeks ago and they came in handy with a through-wall installation of a UHF barrel and some other hardware. This allows me to close off and protect both ends of this wall penetration as needed for working with the connected cables. I used this in conjunction with some other accessories from American Radio Supply for a clean transition and grounding point solution with my base station setup. I didn't have these installed for a long time, but the outdoor side of the barrel was kept clean and dry on a cold foggy day when installing the hardware setup.
