Simple Coax Extension
The UHF-7614HN is especially useful when two cables both have PL-259 male connectors. Thread one PL-259 onto each SO-239 end of the adapter to create a secure inline connection and extend the overall coaxial cable run.
RF Performance Note
*UHF connectors are traditionally non-constant-impedance connectors, so actual RF performance can vary with frequency, connector geometry, cable type, and mating components. The UHF-7614HN is intended primarily for HF and lower-frequency VHF/UHF applications; specialized controlled-impedance connectors may be preferable for higher-frequency or microwave applications.

Here in Australia, I have only ever been able to find cheap, poor fitting connectors, but this one has Teflon insulation which I know is better for heat and power issues that may arise. Precise fit to my new silver plate Teflon PL-259 connections.
